In this week’s installment of my Messages About Purpose and Strategy, I’ll encourage you, once again, to really buy-into the motto: Each One Reach One. I want you to own this commitment. We can all work together, shoulder to shoulder, in the mission to reach people with the gospel – the good news of new life in Jesus Christ! I’ve been writing about the fact that the work of the ministry belongs to every believer. We have also seen from Eph. 4:11,12 that pastors are to equip the saints for the work of ministry. In our current series, we are doing just that. But you may be intimidated by super-outgoing personalities like the evangelist, Reid Saunders. Maybe you look at a gifted individual like him and say, “I can be like that; I’m just me!” No one is asking you to be something God didn’t create you to be. Some people are spunky; others are more meditative. Some do well in front of big groups; others would rather die than preach or teach. Don’t worry. God knows how he made you. He’s not cruel, asking you to do a job you weren’t designed to do. No, God knows that you can represent him and serve him with your personality. Reid can do his work well. He’s perfectly designed for it. But you can serve God too! Ask God to show you opportunities to share your faith. He will be faithful to use you. Now you be faithful to follow through!
