JUNE 2 & 3, 2007

For today's installment of my Messages About Purpose and Strategy, I want to tell you a little something about Mary Mallon (September 23, 1869 - November 11, 1938), also known as Typhoid Mary. She was the first person in the United States to be identified as a healthy carrier of typhoid fever. Over the course of her career as a cook, she infected 47 people, three of whom died from the disease.

Surprisingly, I'm going to use her as an example of something positive. The meaning of the word evangelism is to be a messenger of good news. I think our world needs as many people spreading the love of God around as possible. Like germs, Christianity is communicable and I want to be a carrier. I want people to get it form me and then to give it to others who will give it away again.

Are you infecting others with your faith? Is it catchy? Do people get it?
