It's time to get ready for something great! Salem RiverFest will provide each of us with a great opportunity to fulfill our purpose of glorifying God by leading people to follow Christ. This evangelistic festival is a strategic chance for us to live out our motto: Reaching, Connecting, Growing!
Put RiverFest on your family calendar. The event itself will be held at the Salem Riverfront Park on September 22 and 23. But you don't have to wait for the festival to get involved. Here at Dayspring, we are hosting four different opportunities for counselor training. I'd like to see over 300 of us trained to respond to those the Holy Spirit leads to come forward at the event. The value of this training will go way beyond this one opportunity. There will be eternal dividends from your participation.
We will be talking a lot about these training classes. You can plan to attend any one of several options: Saturday, 9/8 at
6 pm, Sunday, 9\9 at 10:45 am, Tuesday, 9/11 at 6:30 pm, or Sunday, 9/16 at 6:30 pm - this last of the four opportunities aligns with our DVD meeting.
Every time I think of RiverFest, I reflect on the verse: "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity" (Colossians 4:5). Let's make the most of the opportunity that RiverFest provides!
