SEPTEMBER 1 & 2, 2007

In today's installment of these Messages About Purpose and Strategy, I'm going to again beat the drum for Salem RiverFest! Last week I mentioned how we are gearing up for this great opportunity, which will be held on September 22 and 23. In particular, I'd like to see over 300 of us trained as counselors to serve those who respond at the event. A suggestion has been made that anyone interested in volunteering can take a step in the right direction by filling out the form you'll find by clicking on the SalemRiverFest Volunteer link below under Dayspring Quicklink.

When I think of the opportunity this festival offers, I'm reminded of Colossians 4:5. "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." Salem RiverFest is an opportunity for all of us to engage in friendship evangelism. Let's all prayerfully consider who we can invite. And remember to put the counselor training on your schedule. The benefit of this training will transcend this festival by equipping you to represent the Lord for the rest of your life. What a great thought: picture having hundreds of Dayspring attenders ready, willing, and able to lead others to salvation!

Remember also that Dayspring's teen production of Narnia will be an integral part of Salem RiverFest! We are committed to this opening for ministry. Let's take advantage of the opportunity.
