In today's installment of these Messages About Purpose and Strategy, I want to remind you about what is coming up after the Christmas series. Besides all the obvious trappings of the season like gifts, songs, snow, football, and chili peppers, this time of year also brings to my mind thoughts of what has elapsed during the past twelve months and what 2008 will bring. I want to get you excited about our January focus on church vision. In previous MAPS I've mentioned that I will be presenting a series of messages along these lines, but I need your prayers and support as we look to the Lord together for the power to grow into what he wants us to be.

I think the teaching will be motivating. But the sermons will only be part of what we are doing. We will also be kicking off a process that will culminate in the prayerful production of a strategic plan. You will have a part in this process. We are standing together on the eve of a great new year!
