JANUARY 26 & 27, 2008

In last week's services I shared three personal passions. The first has to do with actively depending on God that we might experience his supernatural power. The second has to do with sharpening the focus of our diverse ministries that we might experience unity in direction. The third has to do with creating a culture of expectation and enthusiasm that we might experience growth.

For this week's installment of my Messages About Purpose and Strategy, I want to put these three points in a blender to see what they taste like mixed all together.

Envision this, a body of believers expressing their dependence upon God in prayer and looking to his Word for guidance - they know they need his power. Their efforts are unified by a lazer sharp focus of disciple-making. People glorifying God like this are going to enthusiastically influence others and the church will grow!

While I'm not repeating these thoughts in the services this week, that one paragraph does a pretty good job in portraying my vision for Dayspring. That's the kind of church we all want to attend and the kind of church we are becoming!
