It has been a few weeks since we have last recited or read our 25-word vision statement, but I'm just too pushy to let you forget it.

The Vision of Dayspring Fellowship is . . .

To glorify God by reaching out in love to more people, connecting them into authentic relationships, and growing up in maturity as followers of Christ.

It has not been weeks since I have thought of this. I can't stop thinking about it and I won't stop pointing our church at that target. All of our strategies must be linked to our overall purpose. I'll keep writing these messages and you can keep thinking about how to live out this mission.

Here's an idea: How about praying before you come to worship this weekend? Ask God to send you to church as a minister to seek out the lonely and hurting. Do you know that you can serve God right in our lobby? It is a public place that draws the disaffected and discouraged. Many people who attend here only know the names of the pastors. You can be a conduit of love. You can reach others right here on campus. Look for the person who is alone. Concentrate on giving. Think of others. Lose your self- consciousness. Discipline yourself to remember names. Let's glorify God by reaching, connecting, and growing!
