June 21 & 22

In this week's installment of my Messages About Purpose and Strategy, I want to highlight a couple of examples of how we are working to fulfill the Great Commission.

About a zillion of our teens just got back from The Big Kuhuna water sports summer camp at Lake Shasta. I heard so many great reports of what God did there. And God did his work in the teens' lives through committed leaders who sacrificially served! That is how blessing often comes: by means of God's work through his servants.

The same is true about our upcoming Vacation Bible School. God will be glorified and lives will be changed as Dayspring people sacrificially serve. VBS hasn't even happened yet but I'm already praising God for the results that we will see. The bar is high and the team will score once again. I just know it. Like our youth ministry, our children's ministry honors God by leading people to follow Christ. They just work with shorter people.

These are just a couple of the success stories we are part of here. These two efforts are ways we are implementing our vision statement. Think of these familiar 25 words once again in light of the teen trip and VBS: It is the vision of Dayspring Fellowship to glorify God by reaching out in love to more people, connecting them into authentic relationships, and growing up in maturity as followers of Christ. I love to see this come true. Let's work together to make this happen for the sake of Christ!
