November 15 & 16

The election is now behind us. While we all got sick and tired of what the campaign involved, in retrospect, some of it was pretty funny, as SNL showed us. People have been making fun of the political process for many years. The famous wit, Will Rogers: I don't make jokes, I just watch the government and report the facts.

When I think about our purpose of glorifying God and the strategies that help us to achieve this, I think of meeting people at their point of need. With times so tough, people are even more aware than usual of their need for someone to make sense of this crazy world. We are seeing people getting more and more involved here at Dayspring. We are seeing more people attend and, in the last two weeks, we have even seen some great giving as well. This is particularly noteworthy during such a heavy financial crisis and we are thankful and hopeful.

We're getting it. We're doing it. We are bringing people to God and bringing God to people. This is our role until the Lord returns to find us faithful in sacrificially serving him. Let's live for eternal values right here and right now, for we will live forever with God and with those who are drawn to him
