The weather outside is frightful, but the potluck is so delightful. On Tuesday evening I was invited to join with a couple of our Growth Groups to enjoy some particularly yummy food and good conversation. We also did one of those Christmas ornament exchanges where you can steal what someone else has already unwrapped. That part got brutal.

The whole evening was great, but what is of lasting value are the relationships being developed in our Growth Groups.

In today's Message About Purpose and Strategy, I want to promote our Growth Groups. There are many different kinds of groups around here. They can be categorized by the purpose they set out to meet. Some are only social; others are organized around a certain task. Our Growth Groups aim specifically at stimulating growth both in the participants and in our church. This process involves discussing and applying biblical content.
