April 30 & May 1, 2011

I read an article that had a great title. It was called, “Ministry’s Secret Weapon,” or something like that. I actually don’t remember who wrote it and I don’t remember much about the content other than this one idea: it was about prayer. Prayer is our secret weapon! That’s a good thing to remember. By prayer, and only by prayer, we can fulfill our purpose, accomplish our objectives, and achieve our goals. In this week’s Message About Purpose and Strategy, I’ll direct your attention to Deuteronomy. 4:7. It’s a verse that reminds the people of Israel about the privilege of prayer. “What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?” What an encouraging thought. It applies to us. God is available! We are in a relationship with him and he is near. Our situation is unique. We are in a position that is entirely different than any normal business or organization. We’re different. We have access to supernatural power by means of prayer. Do you know that we have prayer opportunities for you before the services? You can gather with others to talk to the Lord together and ask him to empower the ministry of Dayspring Fellowship. To learn more about our pre-service prayer times, see me or check out our weekly program.
